Blog commenting open for business!
I’ve been getting quite a bit of individual feedback so i think im going to open up general commenting. Sites like these sometimes have a way of becoming a resource for others in similar situations. By having public commenting available is adds to the value. I’ll be using Askimet for filtering the inevitable auto-spam-junk from getting posted at all.

Rob, i am just reading this. aunt marcia sent this to me. i am at a loss for words. i am thinking of you and feel you are going to conquer this. i have heard of these tumors; i dont know much about these despite my 12 years of working in pathology and neuropathology. I do recall many patients having them who i had to gather path materials for for their request at second opinions; many of them were cured. Sounds like this was discovered early and based on your blog here, you have already beaten it with keeping youreself abreast of all the information, tests and consultations. Your delaware family is thinking of you. im sure i cant say anything to you that you probably havent heard but im glad you are sharing this with us. Your strength and determination to stay on top of your illness is half the battle. We wil certainly be here for you to help kick this tumor into another universe. God bless you and your family. Hey Rob.
So sorry to hear about what you are going through. It totally sucks. I know, I’ve been there. I was diagnosed with cancer(Hodgkins Lynphoma) 3 weeks after my 30th birthday. Hearing those words is so sureal. It seems like the doctor is talking about some one else. The best advice I can give you is to stay positive (it’s hard). Find humor in some of the craziness where ever you can. Let as many people be involved as possible. I let my friends and family “take turns” coming with me to my chemo appointments. I also coined the phrase “working the cancer card”. I got free Nascar tickets from MBNA for 3 races. Free satalite tv for our boat. It sounds crazy, but I found it really funny how so many people wanted to do things for you just because you have cancer. Not to minimize what you are going through, just some examples of how I tried to stay positive. Also maybe take up ping-pong. Every time you hit that damn ball imagine it is the one in your head. You will beat this. You have an awesome support system. God bless and keep us posted.
