Ukulele versus Evil Tawd

Once again I am stunned by the generosity of my friends and family and others that have recently become friends who have taken interest in the Adventures of Tawd the Oligo.  A few posts ago I mentioned – just mentioned – that someday I’d like to get a cool ukulele and play happy songs.  Well as you might imagine, now is not really the time for me to go shopping for such a thing.

So today I get an email from a good friend (also in the music making world) with a UPS tracking number.  Didn’t mention it.  Didn’t ask.  Was never discussed.  Just sent a ukulele.  He waited until he saw the tracking number saying it’s to be delivered today.  Can you believe that?

Well, no real names to protect the innocent, but we’ll call him Franklin.  Dude, Franklin, my man…that was really awesome of you.  Thank you so much.  My first uke song will be titled and dedicated to you.

If logic prevails, Tawd is evil…right?  And evil probably doesn’t like happy fluffy ukulele music.  Maybe it will sorta be like when the Feds use those sound cannons playing Barbra Streisand backwards and it makes the bad guys go bonkers and eventually just give up and run out and lay on the ground begging to be arrested and taken away from that awful sound!

So it’s happy fluffy music comin’ your way Tawd.  Get out while you can…

I’m so happy for you, Rob! I know you’ve been wanting a ukulele and what a wonderful thing that ‘Franklin’ made your wish come true! You have some amazing friends and family that love you very much. Yes, I don’t think Tawd will like that one little bit…he can’t enjoy music…so play, play, play! 🙂
